Observed in the quiet of the backyard, the tree held attention long enough to call for a painting. The piece began loosely, with quick, open brushstrokes laying in the vivid blue sky. Layers of yellow and green followed, capturing the brightness and movement of the blossoms. This painting was donated to support the JDRF Foundation for diabetes research and helped raise over $3,000.
